Effective oral hygiene habits start with consistently brushing your teeth each morning and night, as well as remembering to thoroughly floss at least once each day. Once you have gently inserted the strand of dental floss between two teeth, you should curve it to maximize contact with the surfaces of the tooth. It may take several small passes along the length of each tooth to clear away food particles, plaque, and other bacterial deposits.
